Servicio gestión forestal EN

Our Forestry Management team has extensive experience in drafting projects (Dasocratic plans, management projects and their respective revisions) in more than 200 forests that exceed 200,000 ha in Castilla y León, Castilla la Mancha, Extremadura and Galicia.

Looking for solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change we are specialists in quantifying biomass and atmospheric CO2 accumulated in forests, studying their role as carbon sinks.

We elaborate scientific and technical works related to biodiversity of forest ecosystems, such as dead wood inventories, using to estimate the optimal quantity of dead trees in foot and fallen in the ground. We also perform studies related to essential components in hydrological processes, as well as studies focused on nutrient and habitat cycle for many organisms.

Our continuous training in new scientific trends and the development of new products and tools allow us to carry out a wider range of forest management activities every day.

FOREST MANAGEMENT; DASOCRATIC PLANS, TECHNICAL PLANS AND REVIEWS

We draft projects based on Sustainable Forest Management, taking into account different points of view: ecological, social, economic and legal.

CARBON FIXATION QUANTIFICATION IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FORESTS

We determine the potential of a forest to mitigate the effects of climate change, calculating how much atmospheric CO2 can store a forest mass. We enhance the role of them as carbon sinks. Our app QuantC allows us to quantify the aerial and belowground biomass, carbon and CO2 of forests worldwide.

FOREST MODELLING

We develop and adjust forest growth models that help us improve our decision-making processes in forest management activities. We design and develop models that allow us to study and simulate different silvicultural and climatic scenarios in platforms like Simanfor.

BIOMASS, DEAD WOOD AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES

We make inventories and plan the sustainable exploitation of timber and non-timber resources, determining their potential from an economic, social and environmental point of view.

FOREST MARKING ACTIVITIES

We select, mark and measure those trees that are going to be cut according to silvicultural prescriptions together with technical criteria in order to ensure the conservation and sustainable use of forest systems.

SILVICULTURAL STRATIFICATION ACTIVITIES

We locate and mark in the forest different management units according to the cartography designed in the management plans.
