The current context of global change, characterized by an increasing awareness of forest’s pivotal role in ecosystems conservation, translates into the necessity of new tools, where biomass, carbon and CO2 are considered, to support decisions and quantify forest resources.

QuantC is an app designed and developed to quantify forest biomass (aboveground and belowground), carbon and CO2 in forests. QuantC allows us to work with more than 150 tree and schrub species in 27 countries worldwide. If normal forest inventory dataset is input, the user can obtain a set of numerical and graphical results related to the amount of biomass, carbon and CO2 (by stand and by species) in a forest stand.

ECM Ingenieria Ambiental work for the conservation and the sustainable use of forest ecosystems. In line with this philosophy, we keep developing QuantC new versions to be a reference in Carbon quantification and to emphasize the role of forests as Carbon sinks.
